My journey in the dental field started in Brazil. I graduated in 2002 from a Dental Assisting Course and worked for 5 years as a dental assistant.

I decided to immigrate to Canada and I kept working as a dental assistant for 7 more years. I attended George Brown College and received my Certification for Dental Assisting.

After working in the field for a while, I felt I needed a challenge and decided to attend Toronto College of Dental Hygienists and Auxiliaries and received my Dental Hygiene Diploma. I graduated in 2023.

I became part of Alderwood Family Dentistry shortly after my graduation.

I love being part of this team as I saw right away the respect the team members and doctors had for each other and the care they gave to their patients. They embraced me as a new team member and ensured that my transition was seamless.

My goal as a dental hygienist is to continue updating my knowledge in the dental field with evidence-based research on new products, and new tools to gain more skills in order that I can always improve myself in oral health care.

I am passionate about helping my patients get a better understanding of the mouth/body relationship and understanding the importance of good oral hygiene in achieving overall health. I not only work with passion, with my heart, and with empathy, but I respect the diversity of people and I love meeting their unique needs.

When I am not at work, I am a busy mother of two energetic children. I spend all my spare time with my family, as they are the basis of my well-being. I love reading, watching series with my children, fishing, and stand-up paddling.
