Your First Visit
To help your visit run smoothly, please arrive 15 minutes early so we can review your New Patient Form before you see the dentist or hygienist. If you prefer, you can complete the form ahead of time by downloading it from the link below.
Initial Examination
Your dentist will start your appointment by reviewing your medical and dental history, followed by completing a dental exam. This includes a careful evaluation of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw, as well as any X-rays that may be needed.
Treatment Plan
After reviewing your history and completing your exam, your dentist will create a personalized treatment plan for you. They will also be sure to take time to answer any questions you have about your oral health and available treatment options.

How does direct billing to insurance work?
At Alderwood Family Dentistry, we aim to make dental care convenient, which is why we offer direct insurance billing.
At the end of your treatment, we can submit your claim electronically so your insurance pays us directly. You would only be responsible for any portion not covered by insurance, which can be paid with cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Interac.
With your approval, we can contact your insurance company to confirm coverage, including maximums and eligible procedures. Please note that as the policyholder, you are responsible for understanding your insurance limits and tracking your coverage.
