What is Dental Sedation?
At Alderwood Family Dentistry, we understand that dental anxiety can prevent people from getting the care they need. We're committed to making your visit as comfortable as possible, which is why we offer oral sedation as an option for patients who feel nervous or anxious about dental procedures.
We do everything we can to prioritize patient comfort during dental appointments. Along with oral sedation, we work at your pace, take breaks when needed, and provide calming reassurance.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedatives are pills or liquids prescribed by your dentist. The medication is taken by mouth at our office before your dental appointment. You'll remain awake for the procedure, but it produces a calming effect that significantly relaxes you.
